Innovation, Research, Collaboration

Businesses of all sizes and across multiple sectors engage with higher education institutions to undertake joint, or specialist research projects. The range of research projects undertaken in CIT is vast and can range from new product development, product testing, through to market analysis. Extended Campus can assist businesses, that require a specialist research team, by making the relevant connections for them within CIT. In addition, Extended Campus assists businesses in engaging the services of undergraduate or postgraduate students to carry out less specialist projects on their behalf.

Many of the research groups, that comprise the strategic research clusters, provide specialist expertise to industry, business and government bodies. These include:

The Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Management Systems (CAMMS) conducts research and consultancy projects in the areas of plant layout, simulation, project management and process optimisation.
